CCN Signs Technical Management Agreements with Nigeria's Rural Telephony Operators

The rural telephony operators are Telefund Limited, Key Communications and GiCELL Wireless Limited.

Telefund is the operator for the Kaduna and Abuja Zones of the Rural Telephony Programme (NRTP). Key has been assigned the Ibadan Zone, while GiCELL is to operate the Bauchi Zone in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.

Between them, and based on a single network model being developed by CCN, the companies may account for over 75 per cent of the rural subscriber base of Nigeria as displayed in the map below:
